Industrial 3D-printing
3D printing is no longer just for hobby projects – but achieving truly great results requires experience and expertise. PrintIT Sweden AB was founded in Östersund, backed by over 10 years of advanced hobby use and a research background that includes more than 20 scientific publications in additive manufacturing.
We are a privately owned initiative with global ambitions. By combining academic excellence with industrial experience, we offer solutions that save time, money, and resources – from fixtures to ready-to-use components.
Our customers, ranging from small startups to large industrial companies, have saved hundreds of thousands of kronor by avoiding expensive molds and instead receiving fast, locally produced solutions that drive innovation.
Privatperson
We 3D-print for you
We help you develop tailored solutions. With many years of experience in design for additive manufacturing and access to around twenty different CAD/CAM programs, we can handle both simple and complex projects.
Pricing: We charge a minimum of 800 SEK (~80 EUR) to design and print new products. You will always receive a cost estimate before any work begins.
Special cases: For example, if you park your electric car with us for 3D scanning, we may sometimes compensate you – especially if it allows us to develop products that can benefit a broader customer base.
Products
We’ve developed a range of ready-made products – from smart car accessories to functional home decor. All production takes place in Sweden, minimizing transportation and reducing our climate footprint.
We primarily use materials sourced from the Nordic region and, in many cases, can offer recycled materials as an eco-friendly alternative. Through local manufacturing and conscious material choices, we create products that are both sustainable and innovative.
Competence development
Contract education
We offer contract education for companies and organizations looking to strengthen their expertise in additive manufacturing. With over 20 scientific publications, extensive experience as university lecturers, and a solid background in the manufacturing industry, we combine theory and practice to deliver training with real business impact.
We tailor courses in areas such as:
- Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM)
- Material selection and process optimization
- PBF, FDM, and SLA – technologies, capabilities, and limitations
- Process optimization and monitoring
- Sustainable production and circular material flows
- CAD/CAM workshops
Training can be delivered on-site, online, or in hybrid formats – always adapted to your specific needs and goals.

SLA – for details that make a difference
With SLA technology, we can capture extremely fine details with a resolution down to 10 micrometers. Perfect for precision mechanics or components where surface smoothness is critical.
Multi material
We can combine up to 16 different materials or colors in a single print. Perfect for signs, images, prototypes, and parts where both function and aesthetics are crucial. Create a professional impression straight from the printer – no post-processing needed.
Variable fill
By placing material exactly where it is needed, our components can absorb loads in the right direction, reduce weight, and save costs – without compromising strength. Not only is this efficient, it is also better for the environment.
Surface finish
We offer everything from carbon fiber-like finishes to smooth, reflective, or textured surfaces – not just for appearance, but for function. The right surface enhances grip, reduces friction, and gives your product a professional look.
Material
We stock over 100 different materials and colors – from basic prototyping materials like PLA and PETG to industrial options such as ABS, PVA, ASA, PC, TPU, PPS, and PU. We also offer glass- and carbon-fiber-reinforced versions, as well as various SLA resins, many of which are custom-developed to meet our customers needs.
